学生 must have health insurance coverage
The University of New England provides group plans for the consideration of under研究生, 研究生, and medical students through United 健康care Student Resources (UHCSR).
All full-time students enrolled in at least 7 credits or more are required by the University to have complete health insurance coverage. Eligible students are billed once annually for the 成本 of the University sponsored plan.
学生 may accept the University-suggested health insurance plan; may locate their own comparable plan; or if already covered by another equivalent plan, may opt out of the program by submitting a waiver.
学生 will receive an email notification that will explain the University-sponsored plan in greater detail and instructions on the enrollment/waiver process at the appropriate time depending on their program start date.

2023-24 Summer Enrollment/waiver period*
The Open Enrollment/Waiver period will begin on April 29, 2024 and close on May 31, 2024. Please note that this is for all new incoming 研究生 and Under研究生 students beginning their program in May 2024 only. 学生 who participated in the 2023–24 Fall or Spring Open Enrollment/Waiver periods do not need to take any additional action for the Summer term.
All full-time students are required to complete either an “Enrollment/Opt-In” or “Waiver/Opt-Out” for the student-offered health insurance plan once per policy year. This must be done in addition to uploading health insurance information to the UNE Student Patient Portal for the Student 健康 Center.
If you are covered by your own qualified policy and do not need the student-offered plan, you must complete a Waiver online to opt-out of the student plan. The health insurance charge will be removed from your bill within 3–5 business days after completing this Waiver.

学生 who do not complete a waiver by the posted deadline will be automatically enrolled in the UHCSR policy at a non-refundable premium.
COM 学生 will participate in the open enrollment/waiver period for AY 2024–25 beginning on June 1, 2024.

If you have lost your health insurance coverage — due to age, 移动, 成本, or a change in family — and want to enroll in the UNE-offered policy with United 健康care Student Resources (UHCSR) out of the open enrollment period, 请 电子邮件风险管理:risk@qiantongauto.com.
You will be asked to provide a letter from your insurance company if you have lost coverage or will be losing coverage. The letter must clearly indicate your coverage termination date.
